Visits Travel Abroad Until April Exceeds Target - Tourist arrivals (tourists) to Indonesia until the month of April 2016 exceeded the target. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Tourism Marketing Development Ministry of Tourism, I Gde Pitana.

"The achievement we exceeded the target of more than three million, more than 3.5 million," said Pitana the monthly press conference of Tourism Marketing Development Deputy Foreign Ministry of Tourism in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/06/2016) afternoon.

The target of foreign tourists in January-April 2016 was 3.3 million foreign tourists. In detail, the target is divided into January to March as many as 800,000 people per month and in April 900,000 people.

While the data recorded by the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar), the number of visits by foreign tourists until April as many as 3,518,726 people. This amount compared to April 2015 increased by 7.54 percent. Foreign tourists visit in April 2015 amounted to 3,271,715 persons.

Number of foreign tourists visit until the month of April 2016 is calculated based on the entrance of foreign tourists to Indonesia through airports such as Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Ngurah Rai, Batam and the doors of the border like in Atambua.

Data from Kemenpar also mentioned the number of tourist arrivals from Greater China rose 16.27 percent, specifically China rose 21.47 percent, Singapore rose 3.46 percent, India rose 31.44 percent, the Middle East rose 32.58 percent, special Arabic Saudi rose 14.26 percent, 56.36 percent of Egypt and Bahrain rose 50.73 percent.

"We are still confident of reaching the target in 2016 by always working hard," said Pitana.

Previously, the Ministry of Tourism has set a target of tourist arrivals to Indonesia in 2016 amounted to 272 million tourists. The amount is divided into 12 million tourists and 260 million domestic tourists.
